Emil,

Yes, I can understand your feelings, ...because you live far enough away that
it really doesn't affect you, ...except for a stroll over to the "zone" for
dinner, ...and a perhaps the purchase of a new pair of Birkenstocks, ...and
then a stroll back over to where you live, ...in the suburbs!

That's why the people who live close to "it" will suffer, ...and the people
who live farther away from it will simply have a nice dinner and only have to
"go with the flow".

It's high $$$$ creep, and eventually the whole neighborhood will disappear.

Years ago, ...and I was there "on the front line" (I can even show you the old
pictures of those properties), ...the residential 3300 & 3400 block of Calvert
Street to Union Memorial Hospital, ...the residential block between Calvert
Street and Guilford Avenue on University Parkway to Union Memorial Hospital,
...Hopkins now has 34th Street closed between Charles Street and Saint Paul
Street (do you really think that the powerful $$$$ Hopkins will ever open it
again?, ...when they do You and I and Kathleen will have dinner at Marconi's,
...my treat), ...Hopkins at Eastern, ...the Giant at 33rd and Greenmount,
...big $$$$ moving in, ...secretly at first, ...but with a full legal team in
place, ...to have "Task Force" meetings complete with "power point" and a web
page with nothing on it. The wrecking ball comes later, but doesn't really
affect you.

Arjay
