[Chat] National Night Out Against Crime, Tuesday Aug 5th, 6:30 to 9:30 pm, 31st & Guilford

Hi!

It's August and the National Night Out Against Crime
is just around the corner! The 3000 and 3100 blocks of
Guilford are planning to gather once again at the
corner of 31st and Guilford. All are welcome -- you
don't have to be from our blocks to join us. The main
idea is for neighbors to meet neighbors, since simply
knowing who should or shouldn't be on a particular
porch or in a backyard is key to preventing crimes.

If you'll be coming by and wish to contribute, please
let me know if you can bring something to share.
Suggested items include:

veggies for grilling & veggie burgers (we're planning
to have a separate never-touched-by-meat grill)
hot dogs, hamburgers & buns
soda
fixings (ketchup, pickle relish, mustard, cheese &
tomato slices)
paper plates, napkins or cups
plastic silverware
ice
lemonade, iced tea or punch
cookies
your potluck specialty
pretzels or chips
fruit, cheese or veggie plate
corn on the cob
salad

OR ... just bring your dinner out and sit with us for
a spell.
