"Transportation Policy Issues Affecting the Baltimore Region"

Why has transportation policy become the focus of efforts to reverse
Baltimore's decline, unite the region, and save the Bay? What led to the
confrontation between regional leaders and the Governor over regional
transportation policy during the recent legislative session? Can Baltimore
really have a rapid transit system modeled on Washington's? Why is the
federal transportation reauthorization so critical to the Baltimore region's
future? What is really in the Bush Administration's new "SAFE-TEA" proposal?

These and many other questions will be answered by three panel members:
Chris Lynch, Chief of Staff, Office of Congressman Ben Cardin
Anne Perkins, co-chair, Baltimore Region Rail Plan Advisory Committee
Dan Pontious, Director, Baltimore Regional Partnership

The program is sponsored by NDC - New Democratic Club and takes place
Wednesday, May 28th at 7:30 p.m. at 2nd Presbyterian Church, 4200 St. Paul
St., in the Westcott Room. You can park on St. Paul and use the St. Paul St.
entrance, which says "Counseling Center".
