"Massive" in this case was four or five police cars & two police
"wagons" at the intersection of 31st & Abell blocking traffic, and five
or six police cars at the intersection of 32nd & Abell, with a
helicopter overhead for much longer than normal.  At one point I saw a
herd of policemen run at full speed from 31st towards 32nd.

>From the various accounts on this list, it looks as though it was indeed
a carjacking.  If I can get up-to-the-minute play-by-plays on the
internet of a Redskins game, why can't I get timely information about
crime in my area?!

One of my neighbors said that somebody tried to break
into a basement apartment on Guilford. I'm not sure if
it was 3032, 3034 or another one. But that doesn't
usually bring out a "massive" response, unless my
definition of "massive" is different than yours? I
think "massive" is more than 3 cars.
