CICADAS AND MORE

Are you ready for them?  The cicadas will be arriving
shortly and we are lucky enough to have Robert Ahern,
an entomologist from University of Maryland, coming to
Wyman Park on May 1st to tell us all we need to know
about these amazing creatures.  After Rob's
informative talk, stay to learn how to protect young
plants from the cicadas.  We need your help to net
some of young and vulnerable trees in Wyman Park. 

Rob's talk will begin at 9:30 on the grass area near
37th and Beech Ave (look for the yellow Jones Falls
sign board). The Wyman Park Community Association will
be holding its annual flea market that day too so come
early and take a stroll around! Call Ellen for more

The Old Goucher Community Association will hold its
4th Annual fair on Saturday.  The fair will be held on
the greenspace on the 2200 block of Calvert Street
from 11:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The fair features jazz
from Rhonda Robinson Group and other musical
attractions, food, kids activities, flea market and
information tables and more.
