One time we were at the Thir-tea First Street Cafe, they were
hosting a special brunch by officers of chapters of a black
fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha, which has its HQs here in Baltimore.
Some of them had come down from Delaware, so it was probably
a regional gathering. Boy, did they eat a lot.

The owners were proud to tell us that the also have some
European visitors, who heard about it from friends in Baltimore.

On a related note, does anybody on the Chat list participate
in the meetings and governance of the Waverly Farmer's Market?
Yesterday Kathleen and I were chatting with the owner of the
Uptown Bakers. She lives in Severna Park, and we asked her
why she didn't go to Annapolis. She said that the Waverly
market is much better than the Annapolis market. She also
said she thought we're very lucky to have such a nice
market here in Charles Village.
