2nd Annual Grace Darin Reception ~ Saturday, June 12th from 4-6pm
 
The Village Learning Place invites all long-time friends, colleagues, and
neighbors to join us for the 2nd Annual Grace M. Darin Reception on
Saturday, June 12th from 4:00-6:00pm. This event commemorates the passing
of Grace Marie Darin, who coined the name and fostered the identity of
Baltimore's Charles Village neighborhood. Featuring Gilbert Sandler,
Baltimore Author and Historian, who will be speaking on "Reflections of
small town Baltimore." Purchase an autographed copy of Gilbert Sandler's
book--proceeds benefit the VLP library. Light refreshments will be served. 
 
 
Resume Writing ~ Thursday, June 17th from 6-8pm
 
Learn how to write an effective resume or polish the one you already have
in the VLP Community Technology Center. Enrollment required. Pick up an
application at the circulation desk of the VLP library. 
 
 
VLP Garden Day ~ Saturday, June 19th from 10am -1pm
 
Get your hands dirty! Join us for weeding, watering, and socializing in the
VLP Learning Garden. Every third Saturday of each month throughout the
summer. 10am-1pm
 
 
4th Annual Meeting & Award Ceremony ~ Thursday, June 24th from 6-8pm
 
Join us for our 2004 Annual Meeting and Reception on Thursday, June 24th
from 6:00-8:00pm. This event will highlight the election of the VLP's Board
of Directors for the 2005 Fiscal Year. Additionally, this year's Annual
Meeting will feature a Community Awards Ceremony and an Art Showcase by
Program Youth. Light refreshments will be served.
