                                           ALL AMERICAN AFTERNOON
Michael Drayton's "Ode to the Virginian Voyage" incouraging potential
settlers to "go and subdue" in 1606 was the inspiration for Randall
Thompson's composition honoring the 350th Anniversary of the first permanent
English settlement.

The Baltimore Masterworks Chorale will join with the Handel Choir and Handel
Children's Choir for an all American concert this Sunday at at 4 p.m. at
the Church of St. Michael and All Saints, 2013 Paul St.

Led by Frank Nemhauser, former director of the Baltimore Symphony Chorus,
they will perform:

* Randall Thompson's "Ode to the Virginian Voyage"

* The Premier of BMC's director Mark Hardy's "Moonrise"

* Hailstork's "I will lift up mine Eyes". (Adolphus Hailstork, music
laureate for the commonwealth of Virginia and professor of music at
Norfolk State University)

Call about tickets at 410-366-6544 and be SURE to specify that you are
buying through the Baltimore Masterworks Chorale, so that the BMC will be
credited for our considerable financial (and vocal) contribution to this
performance! Tickets are $20 to $28.
