Subject: Back to Work!
Date: Wed, 28 Sep 2005 16:59:39 -0400
Well, after a long pleasant summer, it's time now for the Fall! The kids are back in school and businesses around the city are feverishly working to establish solid work for the holiday season. Why not consider joining the fray? The Engineers Club at The Garrett-Jacobs Mansion is pleased to once again host a productive Networking Happy Hour this Thursday, September 29th. Hope to see you there.
Networking Happy Hour: Sponsored by The Mechanical Contractors of MD
Thursday, September 29 | 5:30pm - 7:30pm | Free | Open to the Public
Well, it's back to school for some.and back to work for the rest of us. Welcome back from a summer well-spent! Now, let's get some work done. Meet and greet at our traditionally popular happy hour, open to the public. Bring plenty of business cards, as you will certainly meet a few folks interested in your services. Worst case scenario, of course, is that you simply sit back with some appetizers and a drink before descending to the bar or dining room for dinner.
DRIVING ALERT! September 26th through October 21st.
Due to construction at the Baltimore School for the Arts Cathedral Street is and will be closed the one block between Madison and Monument Streets. Please modify your route to the club accordingly. We recommend St. Paul Street south to Monument (Mt. Vernon Place) up to Cathedral and then South on Cathedral as before. Note that the alleys around the construction site are generally blocked by heavy equipment.

Never Seen the Light of Day Networking Happy Hour: Sponsored by Severn Graphics
Thursday, October 27th | 5:30pm - 7:30pm | Free | Open to the Public
For the second year in a row, Severn Graphics, in conjunction with the Advertising Association of Baltimore, is hosting this month's Networking Happy Hour. Showcasing the creative work of talented local ad agencies, tonight you'll see work that never made it to print, online or to television - they "never saw the light of day"! That's not to say they're not good - they're always terrific, creative, edgy - but they did not meet spec with the client.
Sample some creative, perhaps even edgy, OktoberFest beers tonight as well, as you make your way around the displays. Dress is "Advertising Casual" tonight. Black turtlenecks and jeans are welcome!
See you at the Club!
