1,000 books to go 1,000 miles to New Orleans!
Book Drive
For New Orleans School
Ronald G. McNair Elementary School
On March 4, native son Ellis Marsalis, III, will be driving to New Orleans,
and local volunteers are organizing a book drive to fill the van with at
least 1,000 books to be delivered to the elementary schools
directly impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
>From Feb. 15 to March 3, please bring your new or gently used children's
books to:
. Red Canoe Children's Bookstore & Coffee House, 4337 Harford Road,
410-444-4440
. St. Francis of Assisi, 3617 Harford Road, 410-467-1683
If you would like to donate a new book, call the Red Canoe; they are
offering a 15% discount on all orders for the Book Drive.
Please also consider donating $1 per book group to build funds to rebuild
these schools' libraries. Also, if you would like for your books to be
picked up, call us. We'd be happy to do so. Thank you!
