For Everyone's information:
 
A house was broken into on the even side of the 2600 block of Calvert Street last week. --  What is most disturbing, the house was probably under observation to discern the occupants' patterns, AND the telephone wire was cut to disable the alarm system.  NOTE: this is at least the third crime incident on this side of the 2600 block in the past month (CVCBD Safety team, Take Note and follow up with the police.)
 
IF you have an alarm system, check with your service company to see if they offer a wireless service. Make sure you use timers on lights, radios, etc. to give your home an "occupied" appearance, and keep an eye out for suspicious behavior and strangers in the neighborhood. There have been numerous people observed walking the ally over the pat 4 to 6 weeks.
