Flowermart: The 89th annual Flowermart will be held over two days this year,
May 5th and 6th, at its traditional location in the Parks of Mt. Vernon.
The Flowermart will once again host a full array of activities designed to
appeal to both children and adults, so come on out between 11 am and 8 pm on
Friday, and between 11 am and 6 pm on Saturday to join the fun.  Go to

Kinetic Sculpture Race, 2006:  This race of wacky, imaginative and totally
human powered works of art will take place on Saturday, May 6, and is
definitely a sight to behold.  It starts at the American Visionary Art
Museum at 9:30 am, and traverses neighborhoods from Federal Hill past the
harbor to Patterson Park and Canton. You won't want to miss out on who's
going to win the "Mediocre" and "Next to Last" awards.  Check out

Baltimore Farmers' Market: The 29th annual Baltimore Farmers' Market
celebrates Opening Day on Sunday, May 7.  Come on out to Holliday and
Saratoga streets (underneath the Jones Falls Expressway) at 10 am for the
dedication of new murals and spend the rest of the day looking for the best
deals on produce, herbs, flowers, fruit and more.  Go to
