I too like Poor Boys. They are at the corner of Old Harford and Taylor Ave. They have about the same types of plants as Valley view and are a lot closer. They also guarantee plants for a certain period and give you discount coupons that can be used in July. 7721 Old Harford Rd Baltimore, MD 21234 (410) 668-7599

For garden supplies I have found some good things at Watson's on York Road - though I was not impressed with the prices for plants. They do have a good collection of pitcher plants, if you are into something exotic.

I have also had good experiences with Radebaugh Florist & Greenhouses

Behnke Nurseries - near Laurel
11300 Baltimore Ave Beltsville, MD 20705 (301) 937-1100

I did a Google search on nurseries Parkville MD and got to Google Maps which is a great tool:

Mariann,

I am in South Carolina visiting family, so I don't have the phone number (or exact name) but we
used a place not far from CV last year called Poor Boys (I think). It was in Parkville. Great
stuuf, excellent staff and our perennials look great this year.
