Hi Judy,

I think you may be remembering correctly, but that mandate would not affect companies that are self-insured, I believe, which do not come under state laws.  You might be able to find out more from the Maryland Attorney General's office.  Try looking at

or calling them to ask for info.  And do let us know what you find out!

does any one remember, ever hearing about the state mandating insurance 
carriers to cover mammograms.  This was an issue when Bea Gaddy was 
diagnosed with breast cancer. Or is this maybe a case of me remembering 
things that never occurred. 8~(
