I worry about the surveillance society we are creating in this country --
video cameras now audio. Why is their money for this stuff when schools are
crumbling, lead is in the water, and industry is leaving? This country has
bizarre law enforcement priorities.

Subject: [Discussion] FW: Live Fire Gunshot Detection Test Charles Village

It is important to get the word out. We do not want people to freak out
because the police are conducting live gunshots in Charles Village on Monday
morning. It is important for our safety that they calibrate their gunshot
detection system.

And those in the Abell area should plan to attend the AIA general membership
meeting at 10:30 tomorrow at Waverly Library (in the meeting room, entrance
from the library).

Officer Doug Gibson (BCPD, Northern) has asked that I forward the

following email. Should you have any questions about the live fire

gunshot testing, please call Officer Gibson directly.

Have a good weekend everyone. And, do plan to attend the GHCC event

tomorrow!

Dana can you forward this;

On Monday November17th between 9am and 12n the Baltimore Police Dept

will be conducting live fire gunshot testing throughout the Charles

Village area. The reason for this testing is to calibrate the newly

installed acoustic gunshot detection system. There is no danger to the

public in regard to this testing. Gunshots will be audible periodically

throughout this time period.
