As you may or may not know...there has been a series of scary events happening here in Charles Village...with a lot of new activity happening around Guilford Avenue...We are urging everyone to contact the Mayors office and the Northern Police District, asking them what they plan to do about this...Here is the letter my husband David sent to Dixon's office and a link to the appropriate police district...thank you.  Everyone be safe and don't hesitate to report suspicious activity.

Dear Mayer Dixon, 
I am writing to ask you to contact the Northern District Police headquarters in order to inquire about the measures that have been put into action to counteract the crime wave currently taking place in 2600-2700 block of Guilford Ave, Charles Village.  In the past three weeks there have been three home invasions, one auto theft, various property thefts, and one robbery at gun point.  The armed robbery involved three men with a shotgun carjacking a man at 4 pm.  One of the home invasions occurred in the evening with the husband, wife, and seven month old baby in the house.  Yesterday, another house was robbed during the work day.
Our neighborhood is one in transition, with many young professionals living beside long-time residents.  We are active in our community and city, and pay substantial property and income tax.  I imagine that these are exactly the type of residents your office desires to attract, and keep, as city tax paying residents.  Please note that I will be rallying the Charles Village community to contact your office and police headquarters for answers.
How does the City plan to act?
