With the Baltimore Examiner closing, the Sun under pressure and media in a
moment of transformation, the forum below is timely. In addition to hosting
a talk show on WEAA, Steiner works with the Center for Emerging Media
(http://www.centerforemergingmedia.org/) so he has a well-informed
perspective on the changes taking place in media nationally, and in
Baltimore.

JOIN US AS WE DISCUSS HOW TO TAKE BACK THE PUBLIC AIRWAVES AND MAKE THEM A
COMMUNITY RESOURCE ONCE AGAIN
The firing of Marc Steiner a year ago and the ensuing backlash galvanized
Baltimore and Maryland communities and made us all aware of the ongoing
assault against public media and public ownership of the airwaves. Come
hear news about what community activists have achieved regarding the
problems at WYPR, listen to Marc Steiner who will talk about moving forward
and looking to the future. Learn how you can help make a difference here in
Baltimore.
