As of August 2005, any Maryland provider can charge $0.65 per page
for copies of your medical record (adjusted for inflation each
year). He/she also can charge postage, if you request your records
be mailed to you. No fee can be assessed for preparation, however,
and you can ask to view your records at any time for free.
Twenty-one (21) working days after a written request to obtain a copy
of your records is the allowable response time.
