[Chat] Maxie's?

Maxie's offers a wide variety of pizza, by the pie or

by the slice, pasta dishes and subs. They have applied

for a liquor license which the CVCA has supported, but I

don't believe they're serving alcohol yet.

I stopped in for a cheesesteak sub the other day. It was OK.

I wish they had toasted the roll.

John

I've been to Ajumma; I thought the food was a bit better than CC Carryout but that could just be because I was eating it out of a nicer bowl in a nicer setting :-)

My wife went to Ajumma's and even though it says it's under "new management" and they've revamped the inside somewhat it's the same employees and essentially the same menu that CC Carryout had. If you like CC's stuff, you'll like Ajumma.

I googled Ajumma, and apparently it is a Korean chicken soup (used like the chicken soup that is often referred to as "Jewish aspirin"), and it also appears to be a word in some African language. But I did not find an eatery in Baltimore. I would love to have either a Korean or an African eatery in the neighborhood.
