Important things to consider when selecting a contractor. 1) Are they insured?  2) Are they licensed to do business in Maryland? 
3) Do they have any unsatisfactory claims against them with the Better Business Bureau? 4) Are they recommended by someone that you know
 
FYI: I have not heard of any of the contractors that you listed, but that doesn't make them questionable.
