Does anybody want a free ceiling fan?
It's about 48", brass motor with 3 little glass shades. It appears to be
new, albeit very dusty.
Say the word and it's yours (and outta my basement). Will deliver to the
greater CV area.

The reason you didn't see that when the new stores opened before is they
are all unionized and on a level playing field. Wallmart really is
cheaper and people will notice that and buy there. Jobs paying a
'living wage' will be replaced by jobs paying almost half of that.
While there is room for discussion on how many stores will close, to say
that none will close ignores the history. This is not a first run
experiment..... hundreds of Wallmarts have opened and done exactly the
same thing. Give it twelve months after the store opening.
Some businesses will stay open but be greatly harmed. There are a
number of small local stores that I can think of that have 5-6
employees. After Wallmart, when their business drops, hopefully they
will be able to reduce the number of employees before they go under and
they wont be too small to still pay rent/utilities.
