Dear Charles Village Friends:
I only wish that I could put the right words together, but basicly the neighborhood needs to support LOCAL INDEPENDENT BUSINESES. Eddies, Donna's, Graphic Imaging, and others that I cannot think of at the moment. BUYING LOCAL puts dollars back into the local economy. Chains & Francises send their dollars to their headquarters based in other states.
I want to thank everyone in the community that has their printing & graphic design done at Graphic Imaging, Inc. We appreciate your support in this stressful (down) economy.
Thank You:
Richard, Kim, Laurie, Claire, Bill and the entire family of Graphic Imaging, Inc.

Quiznos isn't an Italian place, it's fast-food subs. It's in the same market
egment as Subway -- which has a shop a block away, so it is kind of curious
hat they'd set up here.
I don't have a good sense of how big the space is, but it's small enough that I
oubt a real bistro-sized restaurant could fit in there. I also wonder whether
here'd be a problem getting a liquor license in a block that already has at
east two that I can think of off the top of my head (CVP and Donna's -- and
oes Ledo's have one too?). Might be hard to convince an upscale place to open
f they can't sell booze.

usiness decision. And if, as has been my impression, Ledo controls the space,
cannot imagine why they would allow Quiznos there.
When Ledo first opened, there was talk of an Indian restaurant but no name for
ne. That would have made much more sense.
Maybe the Ledo franchisee got tired of paying for unused space, and Quiznos,
eing available to fill the space, made more business sense in so far as it
ould pay some rent. That is all that I can imagine. But why would Quiznos
ant to open next to Ledo?
When I think of the places that have failed in that double space (Homewood
eli including Silber's Bakery, P J Henry, and the burger joint whose original
re later names escape me at the moment), I wonder if we are going to see
nother business failure there. Note that P J Henry failed after its owners
xpanded to Towson Commons (where everything has failed) and to Bel Air, thus
resumably causing the entire enterprise to fail.
Time will tell.
