[Chat] Fwd: Baltimore’s Storm Drain Trash Catcher Gets Crabby

Judy and everyone: Count me as one of the many who are fed up with the
folks who litter. Think of all of the things that could be done with the
money that is spent cleaning up after people who litter. Every since 7-11
moved to Charles Street, the litter on my block has increased. No surprise
there. Maybe what we need is to pressure stores like 7/11 and fast food
places to begin an anti-litter campaign. Until then, my neighbors and I
continue to pick up others' trash. We would be knee deep in it if we
didn't.

I gather people litter because they think someone else will clean up after
them or, as a friend recently overheard a man say to one of his kids at
the bus stop on Greenmount and 33rd, it will just "blow away." Thank
goodness the kid didn't listen to her father's advice to leave a wrapper on
the ground and threw it in a nearby trash can.

Thanks, Judy for sending this around. Dawna Cobb
