I absolutely agree, the schnapp Shoppe is an institution in Charles village and totally reflects the ideals of mixed use, good neighbors, perseverance and comfort of a known entity.  Please don't let the SS be subject to over zealous community "planners"  who want Charles village to look like some suburban cookie cutter Stepford family village.  Unbelievable!

The feedback that I have received from nearby residents concerned that the Schnapp Shoppe may be forced to close has been very favorable towards the business. The matter will be discussed at tomorrow's CVCA Land Use Committee meeting. I am advocating for evaluating the liquor stores on a case by case basis and giving them an opportunity for a hearing where they may obtain the proper zoning if warranted.
