Hi Judy-

I'm not sure about the options right now.  But once the health care reforms (aka Obamacare) kicks in in January 2014 (assuming he wisn re-election) there will be different options based on your income level.  Anyone making up to 133% of the poverty level will qualify for Medicaid, and people making up to 400% of the poverty level will be eligible to buy health insurance via exchanges at subsidized rates.  Most people will also be required to have health insurance of some kind (and Medicaid would count as health insurance).
