legislation to reauthorize the Maryland Rehabilitation Tax Credit Program.
This is the State program that provides a 20% tax credit on historic
rehabilitation projects for home-owners and owners of income-producing
property. The program is slated to expire in June unless the General
Assembly takes action, and we are emailing you for the second (and hopefully
last) time to ask that you consider contacting your elected officials to express
support for the program and its reauthorization. </SPAN></FONT></P>

proposals. The first is Senate Bill 190, entitled the Maryland Heritage
Structures Rehabilitation Tax Credit (SB190). This bill was proposed by
Governor Ehrlich upon the recommendation of an advisory council chaired by
Comptroller William Donald Schafer. It would extend the program until 2010
as a tax credit program. We ask that you support SB190. The
