I received an estimate from them of $300 or so for cleaning out part of my basement and garage, and when the workers did the job, I was handed an invoice for more than $500. When I asked why, I was told that there was just more stuff than they had originally thought. They would not let me see how much was in the truck (they charge partly by how full the truck is) and offered no explanation for trying to charge me more than $200 than the original estimate.</DIV>

<P>Joel and I have spent the past few days doing spring cleaning. The result is a beautifully clean and composed household, but a mound of junk in the backyard. So I contacted 1.800.Got.Junk, whose trucks I've seen around the city (you can call them, but I went on-line to <A href="http://www.1800gotjunk.com">www.1800gotjunk.com</A>). I scheduled a 3:00 appointment on Saturday, and they arrived just before 3:00. Their truck was clean and the workers proved to be very friendly and efficient. They cleared all of our "junk" by 3:30 and swept the area, leaving our backyard clean. Our total clean-up cost was $200, which was very reasonable considering the large amount and variety of trash we had collected.</P>
<P>Just thought I'd recommend this company in case you also find yourself with junk after spring cleaning!</P>
