<DIV>Many of the homes in CV are made with what is called "iron spot" brick; the
bits of iron found in the clay spotted the surface when it was fired.
"Roman bricks" are longer and more slender or thinner than their typical
counterparts. "Pressed brick" have a very sharp edge (no chips on the
corners) and were typically used for the front facade, as they were more
expensive than the cheaper, molded bricks. </DIV>
