<P>I had a horrible rat problem in the back yard several years ago. When the city began its recycling program, I got serious and bought trashcans with lids for garbage and recycling containers. That cut way back.</P>

<P>I'm sure you already cover trash, but those who don't should seriously consider putting lids on trashcans.</P>

<P>Mice? I'd like some ideas too.</P>
