My name is Nick Rudolph; I am the Disaster Services Volunteer Coordinator
with Volunteer Central, Baltimore City's volunteer center.  We are setting
up a Volunteer Mobilization Center program in the city.  Lt. Matz gave me
your contact information, I am interested in talking to you about the
program and partnering with CERT.  Below you will find an ad about the
training.  If you have a list of members who would like to see this or
attend, please send it to them.  The training is about the operations,
activation and deactivation of the VMC.

Are you interested in disaster preparedness? Do you want to know how to help
after a disaster strikes? Volunteer Central has a program focusing on
working with volunteers prior to and in the event of a disaster in the
Baltimore area. 

Volunteer Mobilization Center Training 

Multiply your dedication to disaster relief by learning how to staff a
Volunteer Mobilization Center (VMC). VMCs serve as a clearing house for
people compelled to volunteer after a disaster.
We need people like you to become trained VMC volunteers. The two hour
training will cover everything you need to know to become a VMC volunteer.
Trainings are offered each month.
Our next training will be held the evening of March 16th,(please note the
change in date) at the Yabba Pot in Washington Village/Pigtown
