[Chat] theft by check

Hi all...in reconciling my bank account today it appears that someone has gotten a hold of some
of my checks and has written about 6 of them.   I am going to the bank first thing tomorrow to stop
payment and do whatelse needs to be done.  I have also called the police who will take a report.  Has
anyone else had any experience with this situation?  If so, I would be curious to hear war stories, get advice
etc.
