To provide information concerning the proposed establishment of a 
Day/Evening Reporting Center (DERC) at 2920 Greenmount Ave. Baltimore, 
Md. 21218. DERCs a redetention alternative programs designed to deter 
juvenile delinquency and develop social skills. Programs operate during 
hours that are often high risk for juveniles specifically providing 
services, structure and supervised activities in a supportive and safe 
environment for youth with pending delinquency cases. DERCs are designed 
to reduce the likelihood of re-offenses while allowing youth to continue 
to attend school and live at home.
