There was a guy known as The Hon Man who created a laminated sign that said "HON"
which he stapled to the Welcome to Baltimore sign in the median of 295. The public works
people who maintained the median would remove the sign whenever they noticedit. It became sort of a cat and mouse game. You could even purchase your ownlaminated HON sign at Cafe Hon when they were located on the south side of 36thStreet in Hampden (across the street from their present location). I would
recommend contacting Denise Whiting owner of Cafe Hon for her take on thematter.
