WERECYCLE! TO HOLD FREE RESIDENTIAL ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENT IN
BALTIMORE, MD ON AUGUST 25TH. 

Wallingford, CT.--WeRecycle!, Inc., in partnership with the Maryland
Department of the Environment (MDE) and Hewlett-Packard (HP) will hold a
residential electronics recycling ("eCycling") collection event on
Saturday, August 25th. at Montgomery Park, in Baltimore, Maryland from
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is sponsored by HP as part of their
Recycling Days program. 

The event is free and will allow Maryland residents the opportunity to
dispose of all their used computers, monitors, printers, VCRs, scanners,
copiers, fax machines, DVD players and digital phones regardless of
manufacturer. 

Centrally located in Maryland and in close proximity to Interstate 95
makes the Montgomery Park site the perfect location for this recycling
event. Montgomery Park received the Environmental Protection Agency's
grand prize as the preeminent property nationwide among outstanding
"green building" development projects that have returned environmentally
compromised properties to productive use. 

HP sponsors these eCycling events throughout the United States as part
of its HP Recycling Days program. The program was created to minimize
electronic waste going to landfills and to help consumers conveniently
recycle products in an environmentally responsible way. The event also
satisfies HP's requirements for a free computer takeback program as
part of Maryland's Statewide Computer Recycling Pilot Program. More

The August 25th event at Montgomery Park is the second in a series of
two HP events in Maryland. The first event was held in Easton, MD on
June 30th and was a great success. Approximately 200 residents of
Easton and the Talbot County area brought over 6 tons (12,650 lbs.) of
their old computers and electronic equipment for proper recycling.
