Learn the fundamentals of painting with watercolors in a fun and positive
environment. Beginners will gain basic skills or experienced painters can
come and refresh their knowledge of the medium. The class will cover paints,
brushes, papers, painting techniques, sketching, and color theory. We will
also learn to use the right side of the brain to see the world differently
and express ourselves through art.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Zoe Friedman is a visual artist who specializes in mixed
media installations, painting, video and community projects. She has
exhibited her work in San Francisco, New York, Philadelphia, and St.
Petersburg, Florida. She spent the year of 2008 in Malaysia on a Fulbright
Fellowship where she taught at a local high school and organized art
projects and English camps. Zoe is also a principal member of Avatar
Collective, and she just started her own hand printed clothing and craft
business. She received her B.A. in Visual Arts and Spanish from Eckerd
College in 2007 and is the recipient of the Philip J Lee Honor Award and a
Rockefeller Art Scholarship.
