I second the suggestion about pet food. I used to keep cat food just in bags on the back porch -- they didn't seem to eat through the bags much but we always had a few mice. I bought a big plastic bin for the bags at Target and haven't seen any mice since. (You'd think that just having a cat would have kept them away, but apparently not.) jf
