[Chat] suspicious person

Judy,

A good while ago, I called 911 after seeing a suspicious couple asking
to see my BGE bill. After I had said I was not interested, they had
stayed on my front porch for quite a while. That is what made me
suspicious. Since I have a security door that can only be opened with a
key, I felt safe opening the inner door when they first rang. When I
called 911, I did use my crime watch number. The police came fairly
quickly, but the couple were gone when they came. I also spoke to a JHU
security person parked across the street (they are there regularly).

Whenever I have asked, police have said that they would like people to
call 911 for suspicious persons. Such a call just may help solve a
crime or prevent one.

Last Saturday, someone was going onto porches and checking to see if
doors were locked. Someone called 911, and someone else followed the
suspect until the suspect pulled a knife on him. Fortunately, police
came just then and made an arrest. So if you think the situation is
really suspicious, call. You may prevent a tragedy.
