The CVCA does not issue formal communications using the discussion list or the Chat List. In addition to delivering information in the Charles Villager, t he CVCA website, and general membership meetings,  t he CVCA president sends out a weekly email using email addresses of CVCA members and those who have asked to be on the list by going to the CVCA website.

Ridiculous that CVCA has a monopoly on the information that affects us all.
I read the Chaz Villager, and I dont recall seeing that - Nor was it ever mentioned
on the discussion list  that I recall...

Also the complete Charles Reconstruction plan is online at www.charlesvillage.net , was vetted at several CVCA membership meetings in the years leading up to its approval by the Dept of Transportation, and was the subject of many articles in the Charles Villager over those same years. Charles Village was fully represented by volunteers who attended many meetings during the process which took several years.  There was no other way to complete the planned improvements without removing some trees.  Hopefully, when the reconstruction plan is completed, we will see that the removal of trees was a small price to pay for the improvements realized.

One way to keep abreast of what is happening in Charles Village is to read the Charles Villager, visit the CVCA website, join CVCA and attend CVCA General Membership meetings, and volunteer to participate in CVCA committees where issues are identified and resolved.

Why am I not surprised. How old are these trees? Makes no sense to me. Thanks for responding.

Judy, this is part of the rebuilding of Charles Street that will be happening over the next two years.  There was quite a bit of controversy over this aspect of the plan when it was rolled out.  New (though obviously not mature) trees are being planted in the redesign.

I have not seen this but was told that the trees in the 2900 Charles have been cut down. Does anyone have any info on this?
