[Chat] Yard Waste Bags not picked up

Does anyone know what happens to the yard waste? Does it get composted
or just thrown into a landfill somewhere?
I just started gardening and I'm looking for a way to get rid of yard
waste without adding to a landfill. Does anyone have any ideas?
