Training will begin this fall for both paid and volunteer interpreters at
the Maryland Historical Society. Several opportunities are available,
whether you are able to commit just a few hours a month or 10 hours a week.

Part time paid museum teachers lead museum tours and classroom workshops
with elementary school students. Limited, flexible weekday hours. Ideal for
retired teacher or at-home parent.

Volunteer guides lead adult groups on tours of the MdHS permanent
collections. Flexible scheduling Wednesdays through Sundays.

Volunteer guides for American Fancy, Exuberance in the Arts, 1790-1840 are
needed to lead specialized tours from December, 2004 through March, 2005.
Interest in and knowledge of American decorative arts is required for this
short-term commitment.

For more information on any of these opportunities, contact Robin Fidler
(410) 685 3750 Ext. 334 or e-mail rfidler at mdhs.org.
